Catholic pilgrimage sites in NYC…
-
10 Jan 2026-10 Jan 2027…pilgrimages to any Franciscan Conventual Church have a plenary indulgence. (Usual terms and conditions apply.) St. Adalbert in Elmhurst, Queens, is to my knowledge the only one in NYC.

Dorothy Day pilgrimage (an approximately 2 mile walking tour in the Village). The Dorothy Day Guild offers this periodically, as well as providing a DIY guide and bloggers have written about it too
-
In the 1930s, Monsignor Pasquale Lombardo built a replica of the Lourdes shrine in the East Bronx St. Lucy’s parish. (map) and bloggers have written about it too; when my grandmother was downsizing her house, she had a collection of unused postcards from the 1940-1960s, a few of which were from this site.

The Archdiocsese of NY has a list of local shrines; St. Elizabeth Ann Seton & St. Frances Cabrini Shrines are in Manhattan, others are a bit further afield outside the city.
